The National Association of Physician Recruiters, chartered in 1984, is a professional organization committed to advancing ethical standards in the physician recruiting industry. NAPR membership offers our members the following opportunities and benefits:


  • Code of Ethics - NAPR recognizes that the practice of physician recruiting is a professional field of endeavor, and that the basic characteristics of the professional approach are objectivity and integrity. NAPR members adhere to a Code of Ethics that clearly defines the standards of conduct in the industry.
  • Arbitration Process - The Arbitration Committee settles disputes regarding fees and other issues at no cost to members.


  • Annual Meeting & Convention - Three tracks of programs (In-House, Owner/Manager, Recruiting Skills) provide an opportunity to hear from the experts in our field, review and learn about the latest trends, share your ideas, and get to know your contemporaries. Future enhancements will include educational seminars on the web (webcasts) on a variety of topics.
  • School of Healthcare Recruitment - This comprehensive training program is a MUST for new recruiters, recruiters with two years or less experience, in-house recruiters, locum tenens recruiters, and experienced recruiters wanting to get back to the basics. Courses are taught by the industry’s top-producing recruiters and trainers.
  • Annual NAPR/MGMA First-Year Physician Compensation Survey. A joint-survey done be NAPR and MGMA highlighting compensation and benefits for physicians starting new practice opportunities.
  • The Pulse e-Newsletter - This quarterly e-newsletter provides updates on association activities, legal and regulatory information affecting the day-to-day operation of your business, and new ways to streamline your organization. Advertising opportunities are also available in the e-newsletter.
  • Legislative Monitoring and Updates - NAPR continues to be a watchdog on the national scene regarding legislation and regulatory action that affects both positively and negatively your physician recruiting business.
  • Exchange of Ideas/Networking Opportunities - Members consistently rank the opportunity to share success stories and war stories with their peers as one of the most important benefits of their NAPR membership.
