Convention Recap

The NAPR Annual Convention held from March 6-8, 2024, at the Le Meridien in Charlotte, NC, was a resounding success, attracting a diverse array of almost 180 attendees and 80 exhibitor/sponsor representatives eager to engage with top-notch speakers and valuable sessions.

Daniel Kuzmanovich, leader of the Advisory Board's team of expert presenters and facilitators, delivered a compelling keynote address on the evolving dynamics of the physician landscape. His insights were further enriched by a panel of esteemed physicians, who offered firsthand perspectives on their collaborations, preferences for agencies, and what motivates them to engage with recruiters.

Among the highlights of the convention was the perennially popular session on Networking with a Purpose, where attendees actively participated in problem-solving discussions, offering pragmatic solutions to common challenges across various domains.

In addition to the enriching educational content, the Convention hosted the NAPR Annual Business Meeting, a pivotal event where attendees had the opportunity to meet the newly elected 2024 NAPR Board of Directors. Notable additions to the board included Craig Fowler, Founder and President of Athenic Group, a familiar face to many as an NAPR Past President, and Matt Smeltzer, Managing Partner at Capstone Recruiting Advisors. Outgoing President Courtney Flynn graciously acknowledged the invaluable contributions of volunteers such as Immediate Past President Steve Look, Tyler Covey for his exemplary work on the World Job Bank, Bob Bregant, and Craig Fowler for their stewardship of the NAPR Connect Splits Network, and Wanda Parker, current NAPR Ethics Committee Chair. The transition of leadership saw President Spencer Britt taking the reins, with outgoing President Flynn receiving a commemorative gavel in recognition of her tenure.

The success of the Convention was made possible by the generous support of NAPR's sponsors and exhibitors, whose contributions are instrumental in ensuring the event's efficacy. It is encouraged that attendees continue to patronize these vendors in recognition of their commitment to NAPR's mission.

Looking ahead, plans are underway to explore various locations for next year's Convention. Stay tuned for updates in the upcoming weeks as we strive to deliver yet another enriching and impactful event for our members and partners.
